class PointerThrower¶

Bases: DataNode

Throws an event for each pointer that goes down, moves while it is down and goes up: each finger on a touch screen, say. The events carry the pointer’s identifier and its position in window pixels, followed by any parameters added with add_parameter().

This is a DataNode which is intended to be parented to the data graph below a device which is generating a sequence of pointer events, like a MouseAndKeyboard device.

PointerThrower.__init__()¶

PointerThrower.add_parameter()¶: Adds the indicated parameter to the list of parameters that will be passed with each event generated by this PointerThrower.

PointerThrower.get_down_event()¶: Returns the down_event that has been set on this PointerThrower. See set_down_event().

PointerThrower.get_move_event()¶: Returns the move_event that has been set on this PointerThrower. See set_move_event().

PointerThrower.get_num_parameters()¶: Returns the number of parameters that have been added to the list of parameters to be passed with each event generated by this PointerThrower.

PointerThrower.get_parameter()¶: Returns the nth parameter that has been added to the list of parameters passed with each event generated by this PointerThrower.

PointerThrower.get_prefix()¶: Returns the prefix that has been set on this PointerThrower. See set_prefix().

PointerThrower.get_up_event()¶: Returns the up_event that has been set on this PointerThrower. See set_up_event().

PointerThrower.set_down_event()¶: Specifies the event that is thrown when a pointer goes down (a finger touches the screen). The default is “pointer-down”.

PointerThrower.set_move_event()¶: Specifies the event that is thrown when a pointer moves while it is down. The default is “pointer-move”.

PointerThrower.set_prefix()¶: Sets the prefix which is prepended to the names of the events thrown by this object.

PointerThrower.set_up_event()¶: Specifies the event that is thrown when a pointer goes up (a finger leaves the screen). The default is “pointer-up”.
